Case for support

Serving Time Alone Does Not Break the Cycle

Many incarcerated men and women carry unresolved trauma, addiction, damaged relationships, shame, and a broken sense of identity.

Without deeper transformation and meaningful support, the same patterns can continue — affecting individuals, children, families, and communities.

JIF helps address the issues beneath incarceration so participants can build a different future.

FAQs

Donor Questions

Why should I give to JIF?

When you give to Journey Into Freedom, you do more than support a program, you become part of lasting transformation. Your gift helps men and women address the root causes of brokenness, leading to restoration that creates opportunities for healing, freedom, family reunification, and generational change.

How does my gift help others?

Your support directly goes to our programming that aids in targeting root issues and cultivating real identity. Our framework is designed to address the depths of the heart where past trauma, addiction, and personal coping mechanisms have created unhealthy & destructive patterns. Participants begin to learn how to see themselves through God’s eyes, discover their unique design and replacing criminal or defeated identity with a purpose-driven future.

What is the oversight structure of Journey Into Freedom?

JIF is led by the Founder and a Board of Directors comprised of seven members, an operational staff, and volunteer teams.

Are all financial gifts tax deductible?

Yes, Journey Into Freedom is a 501©3 and recognized charitable organization by the State of Oklahoma.

When do donors get a gift receipt?

Within 24 hours of donation, each donor will receive a tax receipt and an annualized summary before the end of January the following year.

Can I sponsor an individual person or multiple people in your program?

Yes, your donation supports the associated costs of delivering our program material to individuals. However, to protect both parties, we do not share the names in accordance with Oklahoma’s DOC policies.

How does JIF measure success?

We use several metrics that measure the success of our programming. Many of these are listed on this site and are updated regularly, see our “By the numbers”. The greatest success tool we have, is the individual’s testimony upon completing our programming. It’s a change from the heart and the fruit bearing that witness over time.
